LEICESTER will stage the 2019 Ben Fund Bonanza at the Paul Chapman & Sons Arena on Sunday March 17 (2pm).
The regular fund-raising event in support of the Speedway Riders’ Benevolent Fund had to take a year out last season due to postponements at Peterborough and Redcar, but it will now return with the East Midlands venue becoming the first to stage the meeting for a second time.
Organisers have confirmed the Bonanza will take the form of an individual event in what will be its tenth staging.
Leicester spokesman Alan Jones said: “Our previous staging of the Bonanza (in 2014) was a very successful day with one of the highest attendances, I believe.
“We’re in the middle of the country with good road structures so we are well placed for most fans.
“We are looking forward to a good season in both the Championship and the National League which should mean Saturday night will be speedway night in Leicester throughout the summer, and the Bonanza is a great way to start.”
